Corrections and Retractions
PIRJ is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record. We recognize that errors may occur, and we have established a clear protocol for addressing them post-publication.
Corrections (Errata)
If a significant error is discovered in a published article that does not invalidate the findings (e.g., an error in author names, affiliations, or a localized calculation error), PIRJ will publish a formal Correction notice. The original article will be updated with a link to the correction.
Retractions
Retractions are reserved for articles that are seriously flawed, whether due to honest error or scientific misconduct (e.g., data fabrication, plagiarism, unethical research). Retracted articles will remain in the journal but will be clearly marked as "RETRACTED" on each page, with a detailed retraction note explaining the reasons.
Expressions of Concern
In cases where the evidence of misconduct is inconclusive or an investigation is ongoing, the Editor-in-Chief may issue an Expression of Concern to alert the scholarly community.
PIRJ adheres to the retraction guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
